"Another VZ engine is a 4.0 L (3955 cc) version with 94 mm bore and 95 mm stroke. It is used in the Toyota 4Runner. Output is 245 hp (183 kW) at 5200 RPM with 282 ft.lbf (380 Nm) of torque at 3800 RPM."

NOT SURE THAT 4Runner 4L is VZ... Fairly sure it's 1GR

3VZ-FE

[edit]

This whole section is unsourced. I especially doubt the veracity of the following: "The power spread of the 3VZ-FE is wide, having 100% torque between 2500–4600 rpm, with power trailing off by 6000 rpm." Who says it is wide? And maximum torque between 2500-4600? Max torque is at a specific point, not across a range. It's not an electric motor, you know. Plus, the term 'truck' is ambiguous. I think the author means pick-up/utility vehicle. A real truck (mack, scania, man, etc...) generally does not have a V6 engine, nor a petrol/gasoline engine. I changed 'truck' to 'pickup truck' and also linked 'SUV'. Lot's of engines have wide, flat torque curves where the maximum point is almost a technicality, being so little above the rest of the torque curve that it is of no practical difference. So I changed it to say 'having close to maximum torque between 2500–4600 rpm'. I also tagged it as needing references.  Stepho  talk  22:24, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
