"Based on a True Story"
[edit]Just out of curiosity, does anyone remember how the original poster for this movie stated that the movie was "based on a true story"? It was the same one used for this article except the phrase was added.
I remember that was what piqued my interest in the movie and I was puzzled not to have ever heard about it before, or why it didn't appear in the opening credits. The closing credits include the disclaimer that the movie is fictional "and any resemblance to persons living or dead...". It was such a cheap ploy that I never forgot it, or have ever seen before or since. Philosopher2king (talk) 02:53, 7 July 2008 (UTC)philosopher2king
Which came first?
[edit]Does anyone know whether the movie was based on the book or the other way around? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.211.92.114 (talk) 22:01, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
