Actual that's not true at all that "all tourists go to somaliland". All of that is original research which is not accepted here. Neither is this: "not even allowed to go former "somalia" except somaliland". In fact, all the regions in Somalia, wether it's the north, central, or the south is restricted for tourist from all over the world. somaliland tourism is active industry there are information about somaliland tourism in every tourist website. you can't hide the sun with one finger. somalia is a failed state with piracy,islamic extremism,abdution and assasinations. tourists are not allowed to go to somalia its hight risk area. why would we share one page when your country has no good reputation at all? are you trying to discourage the tourist who wants togo to our country? lool Theyuusuf143 (talk) 13:42, 3 August 2014 (UTC)

*Sigh*, must I say it again since you appear not to understand the English language? "Tourists are not allowed to go to somalia its hight risk area", your right to say that since Somalia and "Somaliland" are the same country. In fact, thats what the whole world believes. Hence why there are restrictions for all of Somalia, weither it's the north, central, or the south. look, we are not SOMALIA. the fact that we are not recognized as a indepedent state does not mean we are the same as somalia "south". tourists from all over the world visit our country every year. our government take security seriously thats why there is SPU (special protection unit) if some tourists wants to visit the border near puntland "the home of the pirates". they are required to not go there without SPU soldier/s. the rest of the country is internationally known as safe place to GO. *sigh*, this author literally states that "Somaliland" is a "region of Somalia". Other than that being correct, this writer is very ill informed about everything else. For starters, they claim that Somalia is the "home" of piracy when piracy in the region had started in the early 2000's. They also claim that there has never been an incident in the north when there has been numerous cases in the Gulf of Aden. In fact, it even fails to mention how there has not been a single case of piracy since 2012. Secondly, they foolishly claim that Puntland wants to succeed from Somalia when it has always asked for autonomous states in Somalia. It also foolishly, it claims that "Somaliland" is the successor state to "British Somaliland" when even the British Parliament said that's not true.

Most shockingly, they claim that it's safe and allowed to travel to the northern regions when the British, American, Canadian, etc governments have stated it's not safe and advises not to travel to any part of Somalia, be it the north or the south. In fact the British state this:

There is a high threat from terrorism, including kidnapping, throughout Somalia, including Somaliland. Terrorist groups have made threats against westerners and those working for western organisations.

The American Government even goes into greater detail:

Terrorist attacks have occurred against international relief workers, including Westerners, throughout Somalia, including Puntland and Somaliland. In every year since 2008, there have been violent kidnappings and assassinations, including suicide bombings, of local and foreign staff working for international organizations. Additionally, there have been threats against Westerners in Somalia, including Somaliland.

I have only one question. If some one wants to visit Hargeisa to see laasgeel does he need Somalia visa or Somaliland visa? if all Somaliland foreign visitors are required to have Somaliland Visa this page should be separate. does that makes sense ? Kurlibah (talk) 02:59, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

You do realize that ever single country in the world recognizes this region as part of Somalia? Hence why ever foreign citizens is required to get a visa from Mogadishu to visit any part of Somalia. Don't be rude i did nothing disruptive , as we all know Somaliland(including popular tourist sites ) is controled by Independent self-proclaimed government which has no any form of connections with the somalia federal government.

Secondly somaliland issues its own visa stamps which means foreigners can not visit somaliland without having somaliland visa , if somebody have Somalia visa it will not be accepted in somaliland. my points are clear and understandble .

the page must be separate same as somaliland is a separate republic. it does not matter if its not recognized or not i dont think no one can say somaliland does not exist. this page existed long before it was diverted to somalia . clearly you know those facts, but you don't like .
