I should register if I am to become as involved as I wish to be, so that I can watch the article and be open to approach from other editors. I have in mind an expansion of the content to reflect the changes in membership and the links to other musicians. Toure Kunda were ahead of the World Music movement in UK and have never attracted the following their work arguably deserved. The latest edition of Rough Guide to World Music (2006) contains an opinion that their career could be ripe for reappraisal. They were in hiatus after the death of eldest brother Amadou. Rough Guide says that it happened onstage but I think this needs an independent check, since other sources speak of collapse from heart attack not sudden death. The album Amadou Tilo (Sun of Amadou) was recorded in tribute. The live album was recorded in Casamance during a highly successful tour of African nations and sold 200k copies. Apart from the large body of independent work, the brothers have collaborated with the leading artists from Francophone and Lusophone cultures. Other notable items are the range of charity work, in particular for the Joola ferry disaster and for peace in Casamance, and their involvement with Santana. This is presented as a brotherly relationship which created the new song Africa Bamba. However there are reports of possible copyright violation of Guerilla recorded ten years earlier. The matter was settled amicably, with changes in songwriting credits and the brothers' participation in live performances with Santana. Care needed here because of possible defamation
