[edit]The page "torture by proxy" initially, and wrongly, redirected to "extraordinary rendition." But abducting prisoners is different from torturing them. The Obama administration has abducted persons without torturing them; instead they are brought to the US for criminal trials. There is a news article indicating that in the U.K. the Blair administration participated in torture by proxy, but no indication so far that it involved "rendition." Rather the U.K. secret services used information obtained under torture by prisoners of the Libyan regime. The former is rendition without torture of any sort; the latter a case of torture-by-proxy but without a rendition. The two are different and need different pages, to be linked with "see" links.ElijahBosley (talk ☞) 16:39, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
