Uniqueness
[edit]The building is either unique in Barcelona or it's not. It is certainly not one of the "most" unique.
New pictures added
[edit]I have posted three pictures to Wikimedia Commons. I have made them in April 2004 when Torre Agbar was under construction.

You can use them for you article.

Possible Advert. in links

Inspiration
[edit]The Montserrat? Are you sure it's not a penis-inspired building? *evil grin __earth (Talk) 05:48, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- A penis is not a solide of revolution :). This building make me think of a bullet, much more than anything else. --84.103.33.42 08:37, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
have to concur
[edit]how can this puff piece not acknowledge that the building looks like it was inspired by a penis! please. I'm sure there are citations somewhere where the blatantly obvious shape was discussed. Not perhaps the mountains of Monserrat...maybe something a little closer to home?
Inspiration
[edit]Hang on a minute, something suspicious here. It looks suspiciously like London's 'The Gherkin' doesn't it? I wonder if the architects stole eachothers ideas... 82.152.34.159 13:11, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Haha, it must be June and it is still spring.
Edit Links
[edit]I don't know if it is my screen, but for me I am getting the three section edit links right next to each other next to the photos at about the top of the Night photo. This might be my resolution, so is anyone else getting this problem? Matt - TheFearow 21:53, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
"Aguas de Barcelona" is not catalan
[edit]Hi. The first sentence of the article says: "Catalan from the Spanish translation of the building's owner name Aguas de Barcelona". But "Aguas de Barcelona" is spanish, not catalan. In catalan is said "Aigües de Barcelona. So either change catalan with spanish, or change the name of the owner's name.
- Fixed. Gracias. Dr.K. (talk) 22:38, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Mystery succession box
[edit]What is the succession box all about? What are those other buildings/awards?? (Highcliff, Emporis Skyscraper Award (Silver) Q1 Tower (Gold Coast, Australia)) and in what way are they related to the Torre Agbar? AdeMiami (talk) 16:35, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- It indicates the Emporis Skyscraper Award Silver award recipients. Torre Agbar received the award and was preceded and followed by the other two buildings in the silver award category. Dr.K. (talk) 17:27, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! AdeMiami (talk) 17:33, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- You are very welcome. Take care. Dr.K. (talk) 18:17, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Major Revisions
[edit]This article is in need of major revisions. The data is largely correct but is worded extremely awkwardly and is in need of revision by someone who is highly skilled in the English language. I will probably start working on it a little bit here and there, but don't have the time to really polish it.
- I added the translated text from the Agbar Tower's article at the Spanish Wikipedia. The translations don't always come out perfect, so, there should be a user who is a member of WikiProject Spain who would like to proofread and copyedit this article. Jim856796 (talk) 20:49, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
The quality of the English in this article is terrible - I guess nobody has managed to get around to copy editing it 151.228.187.44 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:51, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
Name
[edit]Why is article not named "Agbar Tower"? It's the logical name in English and is used by the official website of the tower itself. Leptictidium (mt) 12:03, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
