We’d like changes to our page.— Preceding unsigned comment added by RehqSummer (talk • contribs) 13:13, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
In the infobox can you change Speciality to Specialty, please? Specialty sounds more professional.
- Done Speciality is British English, I've marked the article to use Canadian English.
Can you change the image to this one that Wikimedia approved? https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Toronto_Rehabilitation_Institute,_main_entrances.jpg
- Done swapped infobox image File:Trh_1183.jpg → File:Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, main entrances.jpg, which gives a better view of the building and its frontage, and is more recent.
In the first paragraph edit the second sentence to move "following injury and disability" at the end because it is more specific than what’s there now.
- Done Added material. I think you're right, that it's important to establish early in the article that this organization deals with physical rehabilitation rather than drug rehabilitation, etc.
The number of sites in the next sentence needs to be updated from five to six please. The last sentence has the site addresses but it needs the new location added. Hillcrest Centre (47 Austin Terrace)[1][2]
- Not done I did not find "Austin" or Toronto Rehab in either of the sources.
We’d like a new paragraph in History. Can you make this the first paragraph? In 2019, Toronto Rehab introduced The Kite Research Institute to consolidate its research programs, which focus on assisting people living with the effects of illness, aging, and disability.[3][4]
- Done with some rephrasing.
The paragraph that was previously first in History should now be the second paragraph and we’d like to add these sources to support it.[5][6]
- I have added the sources, which are good reliable secondary sources but they aren't enough to fully support the paragraph. Both sources talk about the iDAPT driving simulator unveiled in 2017. They don't mention the full name "iDAPT Centre Rehabilitiation Research", that it was opened in 2011. One does call it "iDAPT labs" at TRI-UHN.
Add this to the end of the third paragraph. In 2001, Toronto Rehab Research Institute was established following a $15-million funding commitment from Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Jack Williams was its first Research Director.[7]
- Not done The source, which is a press release, only covers the second sentence. It gives his job title as VP Research and doesn't say he is the first to hold that position.
We’d like this line after the first paragraph in The Kite Research Institute. The KITE Research Institute is led by Research Director Dr. Milos R. Popovic.
- Not done I know that this is supported by some of the sources I've already looked at, but I'd like to be cautious with the context of stating it since an article like this might not be updated too frequently.
- I appreciate that you took the time to learn your way around, declare a conflict of interest (COI) on your user page and make an edit request. I've handled some of the small changes (and ticked them above). It seems like a worthy subject and I'm going to try to look for more sources and give the article a bit of an overhaul. I feel that it would benefit from layout work and a bit of a rewrite. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to note them below (I know that talk page formatting can be tricky). Please sign your comments by ending with four tildes (~~~~) which adds a signature and time stamp. – Reidgreg (talk) 18:25, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- @RehqSummer: I did some searching and while most of what I found were press releases, I did find enough secondary sources to expand the early history, and restructured the history section. I think I'm done working on this for now. Let me know if you spot any mistakes or have any further concerns. – Reidgreg (talk) 17:24, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
