[edit]Really? This never-heard-of is notable enough to have her own article, but Allison Stokke is not? WTF? 82.141.127.50 (talk) 00:27, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
What high school did she attend while setting these records?
- Complain away, though I think you are wasting your time. If you had chosen to read the article, which admittedly is poorly written by another editor, you would have seen she attended Castilleja School which is across the street from Stanford University, the scene of your favorite Allison's PR. Both of them graduated the same year in the same state, so they competed head to head in high school and guess what, Tori won the CIF California State Meet two years in a row, Allison was tied for second one of those years and fourth the other. She was there WATCHING as Tori set the NFHS record in Sacramento. So from a very specific Wikipedia sense, Tori has the record--the qualifier for notability--Allison does not. Now, if you think that Allison has done something to achieve notability, go ahead and write the article. I'll guarantee I won't be asking for it to be deleted. But there will be several wikigeeks who know absolutely nothing about Pole Vault, who will try to tear down the merits of your article, so you better write a well documented, strong case for it. In the broader sense, wikipedia articles don't magically appear, somebody just like you, who knows about the subject has to take the time to research and write the article. They need to be so motivated as to spend that effort. If you don't think we did a good enough job, you can write an article or edit any article. I hadn't taken the time to improve this particular article because, well, it already exists and there are other things that better need my attention. Frankly, other things need more attention that writing this. Trackinfo (talk) 05:35, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
