Naming

[edit]

The article mentions that this is not DNA Gyrase. Now I do not doubt the statement, but to me, as a semi-naive user, I wonder why one enzyme has a somewhat unique (DNA Gyrase), but the other has a numbered-scheme name only (Topoisomerase IV). I am not expecting of Wikipedia to go in depths about this, but what I'd like to see is a more clear distinction here. Perhaps as a first step, it may help if the DATE of naming/discovery could be added to BOTH DNA Gyrase and Topoisomerase IV. This may help visitors to "dig" into the history of how the enzymes got their names (and perhaps then eventually figure out why one is named this way and the other one not). 2A02:8388:1641:4700:BE5F:F4FF:FECD:7CB2 (talk) 12:12, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
