Weird Al anecdote
[edit]I've never heard of this band until today, but if anyone's looking for more trivia to add to the article, here's a piece from the February 1999 edition of "Ask Al", a regular feature that "Weird Al" Yankovic does on his official website:
- Jimmy Bonomo of New York City, CA asks: What's the real story behind you jumping up on stage with Too Much Joy?
- A few years ago I went to a Too Much Joy concert at a club on the Sunset Strip. Since I was a big fan of the group, I was right in front of the stage, jumping up and down and singing along. The bass player noticed me and reached out his hand. I thought he wanted a handshake, but he pulled me right up on stage with him. From what I remember, I sang the next song with the band (I believe I might have had my leg behind my head for part of it)… and the lead singer got so jealous of all the attention I was getting from the crowd that he stripped completely naked right on stage![1]
Tim Quirk now
[edit]Tim Quirk is now vice president for music programming for Rhapsody (online music service). (Two citable sources: [2], [3].) Does that merit a mention? - Jmabel | Talk 04:16, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Acoustic EP?
