I'll pick this up again, after Talk:Tony Meo/GA1, since it's still sitting around :) Kingsif (talk) 22:34, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

  • , and won the British under-19 title in 1978 as well as other junior titles. reads a little awkwardly, but I think it could be improved by moving the comma from before "and" to before "as well as" in this part. I actually think the whole sentence is currently not quite sound in grammar, which I won't go into for fear of setting the precedent of a lecture for each little comment!
  • Good use of wikilinks
  • Good length

Everything else

[edit]
  • Nothing else was highlighted (I have a script for highlighting changes-since-you-were-last-here), and the edit history supports that nothing else has changed since my last review - we were just waiting on a discussion about the tables. That discussion, as mentioned at my talkpage, hasn't come up with a solution. I'm left to decide whether to again judge the table in this article on its own merit, which would again beg some work, or to read the lack of current action taken by the snooker project as a de facto acceptance of tables like this being accepted for the project. While wanting what is best for the reader, personally, I acknowledge that the editors who would make the table more readable, though not thinking the inconsistent tables are acceptable, cannot find a clear path to improvement and so will not be able to improve them in the near future - which makes the table presently, reluctantly, fine. I trust the nominator, who has been a good and open communicator, will be looking to improve alongside the snooker project when possible.
  • Also noting that the personal life comments left at the GA1 by PK3 have been answered. While jewellery shop in Hatton Garden sounds like it would be prime for more coverage than there is, a quick search brings up a few mentions of this, as brief as can be, followed by Meo's refusal to take interviews and the like. Looks like he's intentionally keeping said personal life, well, personal, and without RS, little can be done in details.
