Pictures

[edit]

I think we should upload HQ pictures of the concert on this article. At least three! Raulkul (talk) 20:09, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Caps from the broadcast are copyrighted. A shot of the title card should be appropriate under fair use. Looking forward to watching this article grow. ----Another Believer (Talk) 20:15, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Screenshots would be nice, but I'm not sure if they'd be usable per copyrights. Snuggums (talk / edits) 20:18, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I see so many sites with these pictures, why here we can't upload? And in December the DVD will be released, so I guess we will be able to do it!Raulkul (talk) 20:23, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This was a live performance concert and where users have taken freely uploadable images. Hence screenshots are not allowed where free images are available and since this concert was open to the public. That includes the DVD shots also. And God knows how hard I am with unnecessary non-free images. Just the title card would do for now. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 09:30, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding! ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:55, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Any update

[edit]

@Another Believer: anything else you want to add? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 14:49, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I personally wouldn't have nominated this for GA just yet. It isn't yet known when Amazon will release the DVD. On another note, how come there's a citation for "Anything Goes" and "I Can't Give You Anything but Love" but not the rest of the section? Snuggums (talk / edits) 17:31, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Looks great to me! But, yes, more updates will be needed re: DVD, possibly reviews of the release, etc. Perhaps it could use one or two additional images? Perhaps one of both Bennett and Gaga, or one of them performing together. Great work! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:41, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Kitten La Rue – dancer (as Kitten LaRue)" -- what is this about? Could we not just list Kitten LaRue? ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:54, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved
---Another Believer (Talk) 18:51, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • @SNUGGUMS and Another Believer:, the citation for "Anything Goes" and "I Can't" is given because of the Billboard chart placement. However the rest of the section does not need citation since its a concert synopsis like film plot. Regarding the DVD, its fine I believe. Amazon said that they will release it and that's how we have placed it. I do not believe that radical change of content will be added once a DVD releases and that too for something like this. Technology? Maybe, but widespread reception? Nah. PS, I agree about Kitty. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 18:45, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Should we add the category Concert films? Or, would this only be applicable once the DVD is released? ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:53, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We can add since it was shown on TV. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 18:59, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
 Done ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:47, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I knew that synopsis sections didn't need citations, just didn't understand the one thrown in the middle at first. TBH, it's not really needed to mention their charts on this article in the first place, it's better in the album and song articles instead. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:25, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you everyone who helped to update this article! It's really amazing!! The DVD will come out on December 23, so we're gonna have more updates to add when it's release, like charts, reviews, photos, sales... By the way, does anyone know where we can find the tv rating of the show? Raulkul (talk) 01:17, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Raulkul: where from are you getting that the DVD is coming on December 23? I'm not sure this will ever chart and there are no photos acceptable unless some one releases it under free license to Flickr.com. Also, I could not find the TV rating since Nielsen I heard does not take into account PBS audience. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:53, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting, I did not know that viewership statistics were not collected for PBS programming. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:01, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Set list?

[edit]

Why isn't there one? 09:54, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

What's wrong with the current "Concert synopsis" section? ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:56, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Because you can't just see what songs were sung quickly. All concert articles have a set list.  — ₳aron 10:25, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I will add one, but just waiting since there is a DVD also, so thinking its better to add a track list section altogether. What do you folks say? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 10:31, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Could do. I guess the DVD will have a more accurate description.  — ₳aron 17:00, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So, will we add the setlist like there is at the Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden article?~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raulkul (talkcontribs) 01:27, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Credits and personnel formatting

[edit]

Is it just me, or does the formatting look funny in this section since some of the subgroups are split into different categories? Also, I worry about the 3-column command for users using tablets and phones... ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:11, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any other format in mind? I would welcome anything which is best. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 19:17, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What about just two columns for each section, which is normal right? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:25, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I created subheadings and converted to 2 columns per section, which I think looks much cleaner, but others might disagree. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:12, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Album_article_style_guide#Personnel, "If the number of participants is longer than 20, the list should be divided with a column template such as Div col or col-begin. In instances where there are several contributors to an album, it may be useful to delineate different groups using sub-headings. To create these sub-headings, use the equal sign (=) followed by the text for different types of performers or technical personnel." Yes, it follows with "There is no standard format for how these different types of groupings should be arranged—let circumstance dictate how to best present this information. In the case of an album released by a band, it might be useful to have the band members separated from other musicians and technical personnel." But I think the version with subheadings and two columns each is standard. The version with three columns and some ensembles split between different columns is harder to read. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:15, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

DVD and Blu-ray cover

[edit]

Can we change the Tittle Card for the DVD cover? I think it's better. What do you guys think? Raulkul (talk) 01:32, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I think we can per Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:17, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have uploaded a copy and added it to the article. Snuggums (talk / edits) 05:41, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thank you!!!Raulkul (talk) 16:22, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Track listing

[edit]

"PBS special" appears under the track listing section. Is this because the DVD track listing will also be displayed and they differ somehow? ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:22, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, i've just added there. but someone needs to fix because there are thing i don't how to do here in Wikipedia lolRaulkul (talk) 17:45, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Like what? ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:34, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Just did, thanksRaulkul (talk) 02:26, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
