Saw tommy in turnagain arm near anchorage alaska on july 14, 2007 getting pummeled by the bore tide. pretty humble to see such a god get belittled by mother nature's fury.
... On Feb. 15 I changed this page removing the "personal life" section, which was ridiculous and unsubstantiated (claiming Moe fathered a child in 1992 that this child is now in a band and doesn't tell people he's Moe's son for fear of being beaten ... none of this is supported with any evidence). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.7.45.138 (talk) 20:51, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As usual for Wikipedia, this article attempts to place far too much weight on his birthplace, to the point of barely acknowledging his connections to Alaska. Back in the 1990s, there was a news story pointing out that in the wake of his initial fame, Girdwood, Palmer and Wasilla were all claiming him as their own simultaneously. One of them, I think Wasilla, even included "Hometown of Tommy Moe" on their roadside welcome signs at one point. I'm pretty sure the City of Wasilla named the city park located on the site of the old Wasilla Airport in his honor, but I don't remember exactly.
