Suspicious resistance to change

First, let's start with the obvious fact that this page is an ad for a few impersonators, and was probably created by them or someone connected to them.

The Elvis impersonator page accurately has a 'written like an advertisement' banner, and this page should have one too, because it just focuses on a few impersonators (like a catalog) instead of getting into what Tom Jones impersonating is, how it first appeared, how it evolved...

I made a few minor edits regarding McCoy. Then I removed the section 'Influenced but not impersonating' which contained only Maori Bunny Walter (another obvious ad) with the comment 'his page is about impersonators, not people tagged as local Tom Jones'. User Partey Lover deleted everything, pretexting on my talk page that I had 'removed content from Tom Jones impersonator without adequately explaining why'. But in 'blanking' my edits, he commented something different: 'Thats the point of the header, specifying the difference'. In both cases, my edit was accurate, and bluntly deleting everything is the equivalent of chasing me away from this page.

So I won't fight for the content of this page, I don't really care for it, but I want to put up this warning that the page is 1. Promotional, and 2. Maliciously controlled. Sergentkitty (talk) 02:52, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
