COI tag (November 2023)
[edit]Large amounts of unsourced text in article added by several WP:SPAs that only edit this article. The unsourced content, excessive detail and promo should be removed. Netherzone (talk) 00:41, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
- I am going to work on removing some unnessicary information and move some of it to make the page more streamlined Lessl (talk) 17:46, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- Streamlined the 'work' section and combined in the 'commercial work'. Am working on some more diction and citations, but am pretty sure i have weeded out all the promo. Please feel free to point me at any that I may have missed. Lessl (talk) 01:09, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your contributions. I'll have a look at the article in the next few days or weeks. There has been several COI editors, so it may take a while to go thru each source and check them against the claims in the article. Netherzone (talk) 02:06, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

Required to remove warning
[edit]I am trying to fix this page and update it. To be clear I wrote a book about Huck and his work and I wanted the page to be accurate and problem free, This is my first time editing Wikipedia. I added citations and plan on adding information about his latest piece. I would like to add a paragraph about the book Tom Huck: Devil is in the Details but was not sure if that was allowed since I am the author. Can someone give me some direction so I don't break rules while fixing this. Gkessler3301 (talk) 23:34, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
- I removed the COI Box and added more Citations. Gkessler3301 (talk) 21:20, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Please do not remove the COI tag. The article history shows textbook signs of paid editing, dating back to the 2000s. Paid editing has pretty much constructed this entire article. Please note that a conflict of interest exists in a scenario when:
- you are, are related to or a friend of, or are a representative or employee of, Tom Huck;
- you write about works that you wrote, co-wrote, own, or otherwise have a stake in.
- Please be careful not to write about subjects where you have a conflict of interest.
- Thank you. RetroCosmos t • c 07:00, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Gkessler3301, you should not be citing your own book, please read WP:SELFCITE, and please read WP's behavioral guidelines on conflict of interest editing: WP:COI. Also no original research is permitted on WP, please read WP:NOR for more information on this WP policy. I will post more information on your user talk page.
