- Comment (not a review) per WP:RATEYOURMUSIC, that site is considered unreliable and has been formally deprecated; it should probably be removed from the article Skyshifter. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 22:04, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- @AirshipJungleman29: I am aware, but I believe this is an exception; this is not the Rate Your Music database being used, but rather an interview with the artist (as part of their Sonemic Interview series, which has been recurrent), and I am strictly using the artists' own words. WP:ABOUTSELF should apply. Skyshiftertalk 22:25, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- Songfacts does seem to have cleaned up its act a bit since I last used it, but perhaps it might be worth posting at WP:RSN to be sure. Certainly ALT1a and ALT1b won't fly as they could change (opinions can go up as well as down), and ALT2 and ALT3 should not contain parentheses.--Launchballer 08:01, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- I can post, however this seems like a standard case of WP:ABOUTSELF, which applies to any source. Skyshiftertalk 12:12, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

- It's probably fine, but I think you should ask anyway, belt and braces and all that.--Launchballer 22:28, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Launchballer: Considering ALT0 is also supported by Stereogum and ALT1a and ALT1b weren't good to go anyways, I've dropped ALT1a, ALT1b and also ALT2. Skyshiftertalk 18:14, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

I shall review this. Please note: this is a longish article, and I may have to complete the review in separate stages. If the review appears unfinished, please be patient. Thank you. Storye book (talk) 17:16, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

Here's a more detailed breakdown of a sample of the sources used:
Sleep like a pillow's interview has most of the info known about Parannoul, supporting many claims such as they being unknown in real life and the specific references/inspirations from the Lily Chou-chou movie.
From the Parannoul interview on Sonemic you can know a bit more about the artist. There, you can check many of the claims in the Composition section, like how they recorded the album with a Samsung Galaxy S5, the inspiration for sampling from Bulssazo and the distortion of drums from nouns, and how it was envisioned as a concept album and the interpretation of its story and ending, among other things.
Stereogum's "Stream Parannoul’s Bedroom Shoegaze Blast To See The Next Part Of The Dream" has the Bandcamp message of the album. It also mentions the "depression, personal struggle, and rock star dreams" that led to Parannoul making the album.
From Woove's "An Interview with Longinus Records" you can check the fact that the label had its origins in their physical release of To See The Next Part of The Dream
Woove's "A Conversation With: 파란노을 (Parannoul)" mentions the popularity of the album on Rate Your Music, which you can check in the 2021 chart of the site, with the record sitting at #11 for that year. Newsis' article mentions it too, together with the popularity on YouTube. IZM article mentions the popularity on Reddit.
I checked every other single claim, and found no issues.
