Verifiable examples

[edit]

This article's scope should be restricted to examples of the Greek Titans named and used as themselves in popular culture. A few examples that should probably be removed:

  • Warhammer 40k "Titans" don't seem to be related to Greek mythology other than the English word "titan" meaning something giant
  • The poorly-translated title of "Attack on Titan" also uses "titan" as a synonym for "giant;" the Japanese title (進撃の巨人) does not contain the word "titan" and translates closer to "Attacking Giants"
  • The Nissan pickup truck should be cited if the company meant to name it after the Greek Titans

Some good examples are the various Greek-themed books, video games and movies, as well as the examples for individual Titans (although a few more sources would be nice). 198.181.231.228 (talk) 01:24, 6 February 2015 (UTC) JadeMatrix (talk) 12:11, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
