It's not aimed at any age. It's who ever wants to watch it. MJN SEIFER 23:05, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've made a few Edits:

1. Changed "British" to "English" as that is the prefered term.

2. Removed the statement it is "Aiming" Tiny Pop because it's not. It's who ever wants to watch it.

3. Updated the tiny pop section

4. Removed the statement that tiny pop is finished, because it hasn't.

5. Removed the word "Children's" as films and music are amined at fans not ages.MJN SEIFER 19:56, 26 November 2006 (HIT)

sister/brother channel

[edit]

Should the phrase "It's brother channel is Pop" should be "It's sister channel is Pop", as this is what channels owned by the same people are generally referred to as? Garej 09:42, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo-tinypop.jpg

[edit]

Image:Logo-tinypop.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Removal of unverified information

[edit]

This article has been tagged since Sept 2010 for lack of references. The main culprit for this was the long list of programmes which was completely unverified and quite likely to have been subject to vandalism (addition of incorrect information). Once tagged, material cannot be allowed to stay indefinitely: there has been plenty of opportunity for any of the regular editors of this article to fix the problem, but none has done so. Hence I have removed the unverified content, per our policy on verifiability.

From now on, please do not reinstate or add any information to the article without providing a reference to a reliable source. I'll be watching this article for a while, and will be happy to engage in reasoned discussion about this issue. Thanks,  —SMALLJIM  12:53, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It may be worth having the discussion in one place - Talk:Pop_(UK_and_Ireland)#Removal_of_unverified_information Bonusballs (talk) 09:41, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I'll reply to your message there as soon as I can (though it may take a while). I wonder if anyone else, e.g. the person/people behind the IPs that are reinstating the unreferenced material, will make their case. To him/her/them: the use of discussion to resolve problems is a basic principle of Wikipedia, and if you're not prepared to explain your reasons when asked, then your continued edits will hold no weight and the assumption of editing in good faith will eventually turn to consideration of disruptive editing.  —SMALLJIM  10:21, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Non notable programmes

[edit]

86.138.156.214 - It's ridiculous having a list of non notable/redlinked programmes, Anyway the programme Learn to Dance doesn't have its own article because it's not notable yet .... You could always delink it & add some sort of cite next it :),
Cheers, →Davey2010→→Talk to me!→ 18:08, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tell that to SMALLJIM . The admin talked me in to adding it back in. 86.138.156.214 (talk) 18:11, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well ignore him, You make your own edits and not what others tell you :) →Davey2010→→Talk to me!→ 18:12, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
How can I when that admin talked me in to adding them back in the first place? 86.138.156.214 (talk) 18:19, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Let's try to sort this out here

[edit]

Davey2010, 86.138.156.214. I hope we can sort out this dispute here. See if these bullets help.

  1. Notability is a criterion that we use to determine whether a topic can have its own article. It's not relevant to the content of existing articles.
  2. There's no doubt that Learn to Dance should be included in a list of Tiny Pop's "defining programmes" (if that's going to be our criterion for inclusion), because it is indisputably there on the web page at http://cscmediagroup.com/showreels/322/Tiny-Pop.
  3. However, it is debatable whether Learn to Dance should have a red link. An editor typically adds such a link if they think there is a likelihood that the topic could be notable enough to have its own article in the future. Now I don't know anything about this programme, but the fact that it's included among the channel owner's "defining programmes" is some indication that it might be, though third-party reliable sources would be required to confirm it (per the Notability guideline).
  4. As I said on IP's talk page (regarding the similar content at Pop (UK and Ireland)), I don't think we should include the other programmes that are only shown in the showreel (about a minute of Flash animation on the same page which, I believe includes My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, The Adventures of Chuck and Friends, and Maya the Bee). There are two reasons for this: there's no indication that they are also considered by the channel owner as "defining programmes", and also a reader of our article who checks the web page wouldn't see these in the list. Hence my suggested change to Pop (UK and Ireland).[1] which I think we should adopt here too. We have to report what the references actually say: we don't overlay them with our own interpretations.

I hope this helps,  —SMALLJIM  19:58, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Smalljim - Ah I wasn't aware it was on the showreel thing/there website, I did suggest above the IP could instead add a cite instead :) Thanks for your help →Davey2010→→Talk to me!→ 20:03, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'm glad that you can see the reasonable path. Now hoping to get a comment from the IP. Hello!  —SMALLJIM  23:16, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well there's been no response from the IP so I've implemented the more accurate referencing as set out in bullet 4 above. No problem if someone wants to remove the redlink from Learn to Dance on the basis that it's not likely to warrant its own article.  —SMALLJIM  23:26, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disney+

[edit]

I'm pretty sure Gigantosaurus and PJ Masks are on Disney+ internationally, so shouldn't they both have a thing in parenthesis that says "Also on Disney+ as an acquired programme?" 2601:280:C600:CFA0:B494:FAD9:BFC7:FF04 (talk) 23:16, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's been a while, but I still say that Gigantosaurus and PJ Masks should have "Also on Disney+ as an acquired programme" written in parenthesis. 2601:280:CA7F:F690:F0AB:D6B7:713C:E514 (talk) 20:08, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I mean these links. filmon.com/channel/tiny-pop [dubdb.fandom.com/wiki/Tiny_Pop] . You should add it in references and history.
