Providing references
[edit]Hello Jkaki00, your last change to the article had the description: I am the General Counsel of Goju-kai and have belonged to the organization since 1974. This "meeting of senior Goju Kai officials authorizing Cebreano to form his own organization" never took place. First, assuming you are telling the truth, please see Wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest, since your view is counter to that put forward in the reference. Second, there is no evidence (to contributors on Wikipedia other than yourself) that you are necessarily telling the truth—anyone can make an account on Wikipedia and claim a certain real-life identity without it necessarily being true. Third, if the text in an article says "A B C [reference 1]" (where reference 1 explicitly supports "A," "B," and "C"), then editing the text to say "A B C D [reference 1]" (where the reference does not explicitly support "D") is, at best, sloppy editing. Please take care when editing the article. For now, I will put your assertion into a new sentence; you will need to provide a reference for this (other than referring to yourself and your claimed real-life identity, which might or might not be true). If you have any questions on any of these three points, feel welcome to post them here. Thank you. Janggeom (talk) 05:49, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm told Tino Ceberano received his 7th or 8th Dan from Patrick McCarthy of the internation ryuku karate research society. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.64.1.2 (talk) 05:21, 25 December 2011 (UTC) What's a sokeship council? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.185.48.160 (talk) 04:54, 24 August 2012 (UTC) Merv Oakley is the first man to introduce Goju in Australia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.176.67.76 (talk) 02:37, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
