Canker sores
[edit]I have used tincture of benzoin for canker sores for years. Do NOT use heavily. One drop on a q-tip is all it takes. Takes away pain almost instantly. More is NOT better.
Hot Shot and Bleach
[edit]This 17:20, 4 August 2009 edit by 12.107.116.131 add both the name "hot shot" and the mention of bleach which is now tagged "citation needed". The previous reference does not mention either of these, but does say "In an emergency, medical personnel can inject tincture of benzoiinto a blister to prevent further abrasion and loss of skin." -- 203.82.95.75 (talk) 11:58, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
I can't find a source for it, but this was taught to us in medic school, and again when I got to my unit, and eventually once I myself was an instructor, I taught it yet again. It works, but finding a citation might be hard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.99.234.120 (talk) 02:20, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
