I assume I know why she got only the 7th place, because the german-iranian prince of Birjand favorised her and he is the descendant of the 7th Shia Imam, with 7 years the war began in his homeland and in the 7th class he fled to germany, he was born in the 70th and the earthquake in his town was 7.0, ... Is it not a real possibility of the cause? View the german wikipedia with the search word Birjand, iwm.info.ms, ... I think it is a interesting phenomenon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Freedomfree2 (talkcontribs)

Christians of Jewish descent rather then a Ukrainian Jew?

[edit]

This article (in Russian) states that Karol goes to church every Easter. And I saw picteres of her wearing Christian symbles + she is awadered by the Orthodox chruch. I have the feeling Karol is a Christians of Jewish descent rather then a Ukrainian Jew. Can anybody confirm this? — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 01:47, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep it is as it is. There is no contradiction in someone being a Ukrainian Jew by race and a Christian by religion. Remember, when cities were founded in Eastern and Central Ukraine in the 18th and 19th Centuries, the majority of the settlers were of Russian or Jewish ethnicity. Their descendants are just as much Ukrainians as the descendants of the Cumans and Kiev Rus.--Toddy1 (talk) 20:04, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I really like your "Ukrainians are people who live in Ukraine"-tone of your replay! It's just that I don't see Ukrainian Jews as a different ethnicity then non-Jewish Ukrainians (I saw to many Holocaust documentaries on TV I guess) myself. Interesting enough I had a discussion recently with a Ukrainian Insurgent Army supporter who also believed Jews where a "race". I'm not very Ukrainian so it seems... I blame Brezhnev... — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 00:38, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It there any evidence that she was "Born to Jewish parents"? Lola Rennt (talk) 16:22, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes; her father is Jewish; her mother is Ukrainian (says RS). — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 16:58, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
