[edit]This page definately need a clean-up. Seems like it was taken from an article, and does not fit the encyclopedia format.
Please spell 'definitely' correctly. When you misspell words, it affects children who are learning.Ryoung122 03:49, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- These facts were taken from several articles, and then spliced together into an entirely new creation. That's essentially what wikipedia is all about. The sources are listed. Wjhonson 19:41, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Wjohnson, this article looks fine and is very informative. Encyclopedia format does apply if you think of a dynamic encyclopedia, this is something that is still happening and will need to be updated in the future as the trial progresses. (Agustsmari 07:14, 8 February 2007 (UTC))
Greetings,
This article needs a major reorganization. I'll try a little re-arranging. I don't think anyone realizes that "Marcus Allen" was a big name in porn, even before Falcon he was named "Freshman of the Year" in 2003 by Freshmen Magazine. So, this kid was an early rising star, who due to attitude (he was apparently anti-gay) didn't fit in well in, duh, GAY porn.
It seems his desire for money and fame may have, in a backhand way, led him to this murder/armed robbery.→ R Young {yakłtalk} 23:44, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
More care needed with this article.
[edit]There are an awful lot of uncited claims in this article. I have removed some of them but a lot more remain. Per our policy on biographies of living persons, we must pay extra attention to ensure that negative statements about living individuals are reliably sourced. Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 23:39, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Part of the problem is it seems this case was covered on television. A lot of this material is not citable because it's not on the web. However, there is some evidence to back up at least some of the material you removed. For example, from the US Public Records Index we can verify that Timothy J Boham once lived in Nebraska, and that he was born in May 1981.
Name: Timothy J Boham Street address: 108 S 36th St City: Omaha County: Douglas State: Nebraska Zip Code: 68131 Phone Number: 402 Record Number: 96764737
Name: Timothy Boham Birth Date: May 1981 Street address: 1039 S Parker Rd City: Denver County: Denver State: Colorado Zip Code: 80231 Phone Number: 303 Record Number: 709157413
If we say that 'if it's not on the internet, it doesn't exist' then we are fooling ourselves. The internet is a great place for information but it is by no means comprehensive or complete.Ryoung122 10:19, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Birthdate
[edit]From www.ancestry.com:
U.S. Public Records Index about Timothy Boham Name: Timothy Boham Birth Date: May 1981 Street address: 1039 S Parker Rd City: Denver County: Denver State: Colorado Zip Code: 80231 Phone Number: 303 Record Number: 709157413 Household Members: Name Est. Age Birth Year Timothy Boham 26 1981
Thus we see that 'May 1981' is correct. Ryoung122 22:21, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Then cite it fully. The only content I *removed* was uncited and spurious material. Please verify the content I removed and state exactly which of those statements I removed, to which you object. Thank you. Wjhonson 02:58, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. you can give the full URL to the PRI, that would be helpful. Your blind revert, removed the Denver Post article I had cited. Wjhonson 03:12, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't have the original birthdate citation; someone else added that. However, given that a second check found evidence to support 'May 1981' (above) wouldn't it be better to leave the information in there? Please note that 'uncited' material 'may' be removed but doesn't have to be.Ryoung122 10:08, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. You made quite a bit of small edits all at once. I would not oppose 'every' change but I do oppose making them all at the same time, which fails to give other users a chance to respond to your changes.Ryoung122 10:11, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Why have you failed to cite your source? You revert to an uncited version and then fail to cite any source for it. I've removed two uncited statements. Respond to that please without reverting en masse. And respond with citations, not with reversion. Wjhonson 18:21, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
I did cite the source, above, on the talk page. I believe that Wikipedia is a TEAM effort. If someone passes you the ball and you don't catch it, don't blame me.Ryoung122 04:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- You did not cite the source on the article. The source does not say May 27. I have removed the exact birthdate until you can find a source and cite it on the article space. Wjhonson 16:34, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I cited the source above. Also, from Wikipedia:
This page is considered a style guideline on Wikipedia. It is generally accepted among editors and is considered a standard that all users should follow. However, it is not set in stone and should be treated with common sense and the occasional exception.
Common sense says that this is not a high-priority article and all information may not be citable. However, I have cited above that Timothy J Boham is listed as born in May 1981 on www.ancestry.com. We further see that Boham once lived in Nebraska, which makes the 'Donna Thomas' quotes likely to be based on fact (even if 'spin'). I find your actions here contrary to your actions on the Matt Sanchez article, where you apparently put in a lot of effort to 'prove' that Matt was a male prostitute. Bewilderingly, you instead want to tear down this article by over-challenging items that aren't really that controversial. Claiming that someone was born in 'May', for example, hardly consitutes a major controversy, although you have chosen to try the brusque approach instead of the 'teamwork' approach.
Removing Cited Material
[edit]Your conduct in this matter is questionable at best. I note that much of the material you 'removed' as uncited at one point in the past had a citation. This type of cumulative dissembling of articles to make them appear less-cited than reality is unconscionable.Ryoung122 18:32, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
My goal is not to set an agenda on this article, but to see that it is 'fair and balanced', to borrow a line from Fox News.Ryoung122 18:30, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I notice you started this article:

Your current editing may be in violation of WP:OWN. I suggest standing back and considering for a moment that Wikipedia relies on 'good faith' and teamwork. In particular, your insistence on removing the birthdate (because I cited on the talk page, not the main article) is not in accordance with Wiki policy, which states
If you do not know how to format the citation, provide as much information as you can, and others may fix it for you. Cite It!
However, aside from whether I 'know' how to cite or not, Wikipedia relies on VOLUNTEER editing, and I don't have time for citation details. If I point you where I found it, the correct course of action for you is to either KEEP AND IMPROVE or, if you don't want to, then add a 'citation needed' tag and let someone else do it. Telling me what to you, as you did on my talk page, is not acceptable.Ryoung122 18:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
For example, we see:
http://www.queerty.com/queer/crime/have-you-seen-this-man-clothed-arrest-20061117.php
→ No. 8 iamcrispydammit says: I met Marcus when he was dancing at The Brig (with Boys Next Door), and we would get together now and again. I never, ever heard him say anything that would indicate that he "hated gays" or our "lifestyle." In fact, he was one of the nicest and most polite guys I've ever met in that industry. Perhaps I was just duped, but I expect that maybe there is more involved here than basic gay-hating.
November 23, 2006 2:13 AM
→ No. 4 Trista says: Funny how the Denver Post doesn't mention the fact that Tim worked for the Boys Next Door or that JP was a regular client and a RAGING drunk! Still the craziest situation!!!
November 18, 2006 9:34 PM
Again, we find that in the Matt Sanchez case, you argue for inclusion of less-than-savory details, on the basis that they can be verified with a little digging. But in this case, you argue for the exclusion of less-than-savory details, on the basis that the sources cited might not attain to some hypothetical sanitized standard.
So, which way do you want it?Ryoung122 18:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
One more comment: If you remove material, please do it 'one edit at a time' so that where there is agreement, there doesn't have to be a dispute. We don't need 'omnibus budget bill' editing.Ryoung122 01:00, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not restore uncited material without providing a citation. There is no cited source that he was born on May 27. He is a living person and must adhere to the requirements of living biographies. Exact birthdates must have exact citations. Thank you. Wjhonson 14:16, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]"During [Boham's preliminary hearing], Denver Detective Aaron Lopez testified that in a jailhouse interview in Arizona, where Boham was arrested Nov. 16, Boham said Kelso had asked him to go into the master bedroom to cuddle. But Boham, who said he needed money for his girlfriend, had other plans, Lopez testified. Boham also cut open the safe and found no money in it, the detective said."

If you want to add that back, be my guest. Note that sometimes, when a reversion is done, there is 'collateral damage.' It is not my position to 'take sides' pro-Boham or anti-Boham. I believe that we need to present the story fairly and accurately. If you feel this piece needs to be added back in, be my guest.Ryoung122 20:58, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Damn, that's a lot of "unsourced" info in this article.
[edit]A little clarification
[edit]"The Advocate reported that Boham left porn about a year ago..." Um, what year would that be exactly?--66.51.190.35 00:39, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Program with mother and advocate was not PBS
[edit]The program that featured the interview with Boham's mother and his "legal advocate" (whatever that is) was on a local Colorado TV channel. The channel may or may not be a PBS affiliate, but the program was not a PBS production. I have seen the web posting of that program and I think the long discussion of it here is overkill. The "advocate" was obviously not a lawyer and the interview produced little or no new information about Boham or the crime.

Legitimacy of legal advocate questioned
[edit]According to an article in the Modesto (CA) Bee, the credibility of the so-called "legal advocate" Donna Thomas is open to serious challenge. See this link: http://www.modbee.com/local/story/172377.html Her statements should probably be eliminated from this article. Other than that, the rest of this article is just plain abominable. This entire article should probably be reduced to a stem until somebody who knows what they're doing can write a new one. 71.255.163.240 (talk) 21:03, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- I have removed the entire "Donna Thomas" paragraph until we can work up better citation for these apparent quotes. I mean, we need time stamps within the show so the casual reader can verify the quotations. Wjhonson (talk) 06:09, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
- Here is some more about Donna Thomas. See "Donna Thomas revealed as complete nutcase". Please note where she had 14 years of erotic encounters with Scott Petersen. Nuff said. Wjhonson (talk) 05:36, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Justice Served - Life in Prison without Parole
[edit]According to the Denver Post, Timothy J. Boham has been convicted of first degree murder after deliberation and will spend the rest of his life in prison!
Luka Magnotta
[edit]Apparently this person is linked to another pornstar/murderer, Luka Magnotta, per that article. 70.24.251.208 (talk) 05:36, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
