Hey people! After having done Current events in Malaysia and Singapore, and doing up the related pages for annual news, I noted the possibility of adopting the example in Timeline of Irish history, and break this page up into years. I have already done this for the last 6 years, as can be seen in Category:Years in Singapore. This, however, means lots of clicking for those who just want a quick historical overview. What do you folks think? How about we continue to do up the annual historical pages, but also maintain a relatively brief timeline in this page, moving less major details to the annual pages (and day to day events, of coz, shall be kept in the monthly pages)?

Awaiting the inputs from the rest of you. ;)--Huaiwei 13:12, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I find this concise list of historic events useful, especially as a helper to History of Singapore listing only items of national significance. (Maybe also helpful to students' last minute studying for their history exams??) We can still add a "see also" section, to list the articles in Category:Years in Singapore, and these can be expanded further to include other less significant events. --Vsion 22:50, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Alrighty. Just added the list of years as a "see also" section. ;P--Huaiwei 18:01, 16 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Added the name of the ship that hit the Cable Car, Eniwetok. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.194.36.115 (talk) 15:18, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have requested for comments over the inclusion of Timeline of Singaporean history in Template:Timelines of Chinese history. Would appreciate comments from editors on this. Thanks. robertsky (talk) 06:17, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Robertsky:, I am not very sure why the editor Qiushufang would want to link the template of Timelines of Chinese history to Timeline of Singaporean history. The only mention of Singapore in the Timelines of Chinese history was 27 April 1993. Other than that, there is no other mention of any events of Mongol court and Wang Dayuan visiting Temasek in the 14th century. Fiipchip (talk) 07:59, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fiipchip That's one of my thoughts too. Anyway, do comment in the main RfC in Template talk:Timelines of Chinese history. Thanks! robertsky (talk) 08:07, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Robertsky:, I have made my point in the main RfC. Hopefully I am not too rude and ambigious. Fiipchip (talk) 09:13, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Robertsky:, remember to close or delete post on Wikipedia talk:SGpedians' notice board. I have requested to change my username, I might be not able to received any future ping if the change is approval and completed. Fiipchip (talk) 13:46, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
