I've focalized my efforts on the history of France since its official creation, by [ Historians tend to agree that the state of France started with him. Yet I still feel that not mentioning important events prior to Frankish invasion o]] makes this timeline incomplete. The French equivalent article, makes the timeline of French history start in the Paleolithic, with the first appearances of man, and include the Gauls, and then the gallo-romans before the "official" creation of France by Clovis. The time of the Gauls, I believe, is important for general French history even if its considered prehistoric, and so is the Roman occupation wthis day. I believe this article should include everything that happened on what is now (European) French soil. Just hoping here to get some thumbs up to start t]talk]]) 16:59, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok, I'll just go on and start the post-Clovis parts of French history. But in the end, this page might become too huge and will probably need to be divided in sub-pages for each century or each "era" (prehistory, roman era, middle ages, renai|talk]]) 15:04, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Presidents and the world outside politics

Mentionning the Presidents of the Third Republic (1870-1940), even more for the Fourth (46-58) is overstating their importance. At least, for a timeline so short as this one.
