Odd reference to the Civil Rights Act.

[edit]

In then intro paragraph, it makes note that the book was “First published a decade after the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964”. This seems utterly irrelevant to the subject of the article. It doesn’t serve any explanatory purpose at all, and is neither negative nor positive in it’s impact. It’s just an irrelevant factoid. I recommend it being excised.
