Islam controversy

[edit]

I don't see what the opinion of the imam adds to the description of the city, so I deleted the part about the Islam controversy. Poor edited and no referenced, that orphan sentence seemed to be meant to instigate racism in the reader. I guess it was just plain vandalism. --Gio' 17:57, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:Glaasje schrobbeler.png Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Glaasje schrobbeler.png, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Glaasje schrobbeler.png)

[edit]

In July 2012, multiple pictures have been deleted due to suspected copyright violations. However, in my humblemost opinion, photos from a church, a university building (both from the outside and so visible to everyone in daily life) and the funfair are essential to see what a city has to offer and thus shouldn't be removed nor copyrighted. I think the deletion of these files were a bit excessive and only decreases the experience of this article, don't you think? I know Tilburg-bashing is a common phenomenom, but please don't show your frustrations on Wikipedia by removing innocent pictures! --OPolkruikenz (talk) 09:35, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Interactive map

[edit]

Clicking the "Interactive map outlining Tilburg" results in a full screen version of a map that is positioned with latitude and longitude both being zero (not the correct 51°33′N 5°5′E). --FredTC (talk) 08:52, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It shows the correct location for me. Do you see the same incorrect full-screen location when clicking on the maps of Boston or New York City? - Tristan Surtel (talk) 11:29, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Now it shows correct. Earlier this morning it was wrong. I tried it in several browsers and it was wrong in all of them. Now I tried again and it is OK everywhere. I tried to see the results of template "infobox mapframe" for random selected articles, among which was Tilburg. I did this because two interactive maps that are in the Niigata (city) article had that problem. The problem still exists with Niigata. --FredTC (talk) 11:41, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
