Junction station
[edit]There are ordinary railway stations and junction railway stations. Junction is generally not part of the name of a railway station, except in a few cases. Junction is a functional suffix widely used in Indian Railways. Normally, it should not be used as part of the name, except in cases where it is needed for disambiguation or some other distinctive purpose, as for example Patna Junction, distinguishing it from Patna Sahib.- Chandan Guha (talk) 11:32, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
