[edit]I do not believe the recent changes by 169.229.129.238 satisfy our verifiability or neutrality policies. If the lead doesn't reflect the body of the article, then the solution may be to change the body, not to change the lead in violation of those policies. The cited sources do not support the content, and the content appears to cast unnecessary doubt on the validity of the Thurmond Rule. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 01:11, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
Rename this.
[edit]The term Biden rule was used by Senate leadership (majority and opposition) to refer to the nominations of both Garland and Barrett. This page needs to be renamed to the appropriate context of American politics. 2600:100E:BF1A:F47:85E:B7F9:BEEF:84AD (talk) 16:23, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
- I suggest keeping the name of the article as it is. But, it should be mentioned in the part about the 2016 controversy that Republicans did refer to it as "the Biden Rule." SlowJog (talk) 03:49, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
