The History of the Thunder Beach Motorcycle rally
[edit]The Panama City Beach Motorcycle Rally first began in the Spring of 1999 when the Macon, GA HOG chapter, along with Garry Hundley of the Sandpiper Beacon jointly organized the very first "Bike & Beach Bash". The year 2000 saw attendance grow significantly, and in the Spring the event was renamed “Thunder Beach“.
This information used to appear on http://www.thunderbeachproductions.com, but they have since removed it.
I am the business owner of the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort, and it seems as though advising this community about that fact, is a conflict - since it appears self promotional.
To my knowledge, the only instance of this version (which would be used for a source) is my own website, therefore cannot be relied upon as it is not independent.
How then, do we go about discussing the history of the rally (which despite my personal involvement) does in fact happen to involve the resort I own and manage?
We are also in a position to offer up photography that would help contribute to the article, but again do not wish to submit anything that would be considered biased etc. Can you provide any guidelines on this, and we'd be happy to help contribute to the article in an unbiased way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by John Hundley (talk • contribs) 21:26, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
- Howdy. Two things: 1) Has there been any media coverage we could refer to? For instance maybe you keep newspaper clppings, it would be helpful to tell us what newspaper, date, and page number. Especially if the article is online but this may not be required. 2) Do you have any pictures of the rally online that could be used to select one or more for the article? Thanks! — Brianhe (talk) 23:36, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
