[edit]- Is it possible to add IPA to wieszcz in § Meaning so English speakers can know how to pronounce it?
- Done Added based on https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/wieszcz - of course I doubt most readers know how to read IPA, but that's a side digression :P --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:53, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- Ain't that the truth LOL. ツ LunaEatsTuna (💬)— 13:41, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

- For the last paragraph in § Meaning, wikilink epic to epic poetry, lyric to lyric poetry and dramatist to playwright as these are fairly unfamiliar terms.
- Done
- "like Homer, sometiems to" – how about "like Homer and sometimes to" for better flow?
- Done
- I would add some context/background on the Partitions of Poland for the convenience of readers, perhaps a paragraph or a few sentences near the start of § History.
- Hmmm, I am not sure how to do it well in the current text. We have a link to partitions in the sentence "a nation deprived of its political freedom". That paragraph opens with 16h century, so before the partitions. Adding backgrouind on partitions at the beginning would not flow well. I added a bit in parenthesis after the quoted part - what do you think? I am not sure if this is not veering too much off-topic here. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:53, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- I think it looks good! Definitely adds some useful context for readers. ツ LunaEatsTuna (💬)— 13:41, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

- "Mickiewicz himself endorsed use of the term" – should be "endorsed the use of …".
- Done
- "history (e.g., by Julian Bartoszewicz and Włodzimierz Spasowicz)" – recommend "history, such as those by Julian Bartoszewicz and Włodzimierz Spasowicz," as it reads better.
- Done
- Is it perhaps possible to elaborate upon what Nowaczyński and Miller disliked about the term? It would be interesting to see their perspective.
- Unfortunately, details were not in sources I have (just a passing mention of in [1]). I'd need to do much more throughout lit review to address this, and I think at GA level this is not needed (plus I don't have time right now, sadly). Worse, the odds are that the required sources are not digitized yet and would require extensive work in Polish libraries, something I am physically not able to do anytime soon. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:53, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- Fair enough. ツ LunaEatsTuna (💬)— 13:41, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

- Same point as above but with Krasiński—why do some people (and whom specifically, if the sources say) want them excluded?
- "Nonetheless, according to Kazimierz Wyka" – I know he has an article, but how about "Nonetheless, according to literary historian Kazimierz Wyka"?
- Done
- The quotations in the first paragraph of § Fourth Bard are quite long, could you summarise some of them a bit?
- I could but I think it is good to attribute such strong statements directly. I'll see what I can do. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:53, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
