I have trouble understanding this passage
[edit]"False beliefs from self-confusing mind-wandering about biased interpretations of intrusive thoughts are painful."
I have read a lot of things, and it's uncommon that I don't understand the point of a phrase. I don't understand what's the idea conveyed to the reader. I assume this is an attempt at summarizing the topic, except it is very dense and opaque. A reader who doesn't understand the underlying topic, can't make sense of this passage.Gamma1138 (talk) 21:58, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Gamma1138 completely agree, I'd try rewriting it but I don't know what it's saying in the first place Merlin04talkcontribs 02:30, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Too much jargon in introduction?
[edit]The introduction section to this article has a lot of jargon which makes it very hard to understand (for example, what does the phrase "imaginary latent egodystonic desires" mean?) - someone (ideally with knowledge of the subject matter) should clean it up a bit.
