Gay?

By context, its clear that Mr. Hillsbery is gay (lambda awards mostly go to "out" writers, but of course, cannot only go to gay writers, as that would be discriminatory), but i could not find a reliable source where he states as much. Per BLP, we need a statement of such. after all, he could be straight, or even not out personally, but simply writing about gay subject matter.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 20:34, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As a Lambda Literary Award-winning author for my novel Drama Queers! (2009 "Best Gay Romance") I believe that Lammy's only go to writers who identify as LGBT. FAPolito (talk) 18:17, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
