Hazard
[edit]Or article says it's not listed in the EU. The German article says it's labeled both as "toxic" and "radioactive". They also have a "Hazard" section in their article. Since their ref is to a German page, would anyone mind if I translated what they have and move the contrast medium part from the top to a hazard section? 71.236.24.129 (talk) 21:45, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I object! The German source is here and described a product with less than 1% thorium dioxide. It also happens to agree with the current page when it says that ThO2 is nicht klassifiziert – "Not listed" is how we translate that, it is not the same as non hazardous. The same source gives the LD50 as 400 mg/kg (oral, mouse): quite frankly, I seen more toxic substances! Given the appalling state of the Thorotrast article, I would say that what is needed is research rather than the translation of poor German articles. Physchim62 (talk) 22:32, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
