I did a large copyedit on the article, converting the magazine citations to template format, citing all sources and rejigging headings and categories. I also restored a lot of old, good content that had been removed a while ago either through vandalism or because it was unreferenced - and referenced it. On that theme, I then moved the article from Thomas Verne Washington to Thomas Washington (writer), as I could not find a single non-Wikipedia-related source online that mentioned his name having 'Verne' even vaguely associated with it. Hopefully now the article will be a little more useful. I found the article through Wikipedia:Biographical pages with several incompatible dates of birth in a Community Portal hook.
