Could someone verify that my ancestor, Sir Thomas Warner, did in fact introduce slavery? He died in 1649, and I read in answers.com that slaves in the Caribbean were first introduced in Nevis in 1649? What is the truth please? Mark Ashton Warner, markruthwarner@yahoo,co.uk
