[edit]Thomas Howie has been said to be actor Robbie Coltrane's great-grandfather, his son Jean Howie is the grandfather of Robbie Coltrane and Jean's son is the father of Robbie Coltrane. Thomas Howie had 6 children with his wife Barbara Picken.
The above is incorrect. Thomas Howie's son Robert Wyllie Howie was the father of Jean Howie, who was the mother of Robbie Coltrane.
