Disambiguation: Historian or Jesuit?
[edit]This was originally Thomas Morrissey (Historian) and it was changed to Thomas Morrissey (Jesuit) by Zegred. That editor seems to specialise in religious subjects and to have somewhat of a mission to magnify the Jesuit "presence" though I acknowledge his good faith. However the subject is a historian by training, a prolific author , respected by other historians and a regular participant at history conferences. He is the sole biographer of a prominent figure in Irish history, William Martin Murphy He is an educator of distinction also, but two other articles on educational establishments will, with wikilinks, bring you back to him. Just as Francis Browne is properly famous for his photography rather than as a Jesuit, most Irish people will know of Thomas Morrissey for his contribution of more than a dozen works of history and biography.Aineireland (talk) 23:32, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
