Veracity
[edit]Beolens and Watkins' book is strangely prone to errors (see for another instance, the error in the case of Finn's Weaver) and unless there is secondary evidence, the identification of the person in this article is largely dubious and should be treated with caution. The catalogue of specimens in the British Museum says"From Mr. Macqueen's collection" and for any material from army folks the rank is quite carefully indicated in places.
