The anecdote about the mural in the Ramsdell Theater that feature two painted nudes with the faces of local women, recounted in both McCann 1999 & Royce 2007, would be a great Did you know (DYK) hook.

  • checkY Good to go.
  • ☒N Must be fixed before passing.
  • exclamation mark  Not required, but would be nice.

Copyvio

[edit]
  • checkY Earwig's checker finds nothing from any online sources.

Stability

[edit]
  • checkY Article is quite stable, has been for its entire existence, and there are no active controversies.
  • checkY Some additional sources were suggested on the talk page in January, of which a few made it into the article.

Ref check

[edit]
  • ☒N This partnership continued until the retirement of both parties from active law practice in 1897 How can this be cited to the Cyclopedia of Michigan published in 1890?

  • ☒N There were accounts of men walking all the way to Traverse City (over 50 miles) just to get a document that would get them out of the Manistee County jail. Don't see this in the Cyclopedia anywhere.
  •  Done Replaced Ref # 4 with - City of Manistee, Michigan. City of Manistee, Manistee Commercial Historic District Survey Report (Report). Manistee Commercial Historic District. p. 24. "There are accounts of men walking to Traverse City to get a document which would release them from the Manistee County jail."

  • ☒N The wooden bridge was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1871. Cannot find this in the Cyclopedia.

  • exclamation mark  Was he actually a Kentucky Colonel, or did he just have the personality of one?

  • exclamation mark  Could do with a little more about the Ramsdell Theater (from current Ref 6, "Learn about Ramsdell theatre history"), square footage, cost, fancy curtains, current use, etc)

  • Lol, I didn't think you would get around to it before I was finished doing the first pass of the review... I will try to haul ass on the rest of this! jp×g 22:30, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Doug Coldwell: Okay, I have finished copyediting now, all issues have been resolved, except for the Kentucky Colonel thing. Is there a source that says he was one, or what? I see the article used to be in the category of them. Clarification would be helpful. jp×g 22:42, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
