Are we mixing up two individuals?
[edit]The newspaper biography of 1899 (see references) makes no mention of any connection to geology. Is this article confusing two individuals with the same name? --Krsmith (talk) 07:11, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
Yes - I've removed the part you refer to, which related to Thomas Jamieson b. 11 Sept 1848, d. 3 May 1924, an analytical chemist in Aberdeen. The newspaper article is incorrect. I traced both Jamiesons in the 1891 census and other documents. Pynicola (talk) 16:00, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
