Needs work

It looked like this article was just plagerized from the one source given. It was on a USGS web site, but this is a very important person to the island of Hawaii so needs a better quality article. Anyone more an expert on volcanism or biography would be welcome to help. I expanded it and added more refs. W Nowicki (talk) 03:13, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
