Canadian or American?

The article states he was born in Saskatoon (as does IMDb) but there is no source given for that. Before July 1 2007, the article stated that Hill was born in India in 1927; it was changed to Saskatoon and 1917 in an edit [1] by an unregistered user at IP 69.203.17.168. None of Hill's film credits are Canadian as far as I can tell. Did he move to the U.S. early in life, or later? The article mentions he did extensive stage work before working in film and TV; was that stage work mostly in Canada or the U.S.?
