Although I don't have a reference for this, other than a textbook, Irish public opinion was against the murders. Is it worth adding? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pandaros (talk • contribs) 19:11, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Castle Rat
[edit]From a couple of sources I've read, the term "Castle Rat" seems to have been used to describe anyone (particularly Irish born) working for the British administration in Dublin Castle. As the page now stands, it appears that this was a taunt/nickname was directed only at Burke though, I don't think this was the case. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TuamPrefecture (talk • contribs) 10:03, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
