[edit]Ancestry.com indicates a Richmond newspaper obituary for Thomas B. Griffin on October 14, 1836. Conceivably the death date here is incorrect, although also in the minimal article in the Tyler book. I can't find a findagrave link in ancestry.com. The local history library is now closing, and I had planned to work on other articles today, so don't know when or if I'll be able to get back to this and try to consult a York County history. Given the age differential in the 1830 census, this man might have had a son who died, and with his also 50+ year old wife was raising a grandson or other young male relative during the 1830 census.Jweaver28 (talk)
