It is certainly the traditional view that the 3 men were hanged on flimsy evidence, but I have seen it claimed that recent research suggestst that they were guilty as charged. Any comments? PatGallacher (talk) 16:50, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The [not brilliantly proofread] edit I carried out used a transcript of the original trial, and the subsequent edit by user 82.39.98.205 used a contemporary reference and Trevelyan - my source (and subsequent crosschecking) just covered the basics. I have no idea how biased the other two sources are. If you can find sourced claims to contrast with what's written already, then go ahead, I don't have easy access to any background reference material any more, so can't really add anything further to this page.Robertkerans (talk) 16:14, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
