Removal of exterior shot of the Library
[edit]With this edit and with an edit-summary: (High quality image from commons), the exterior image of the building was recently replaced by an interior shot. Buildings need the lead image to be of their exterior so that readers know how they look like to people on the street. I am concerned that I have to explain this simple fact on a section of the talkpage of this article but here we are. Secondly the edit summary should have been more detailed to account for the fact that the exterior image was not replaced by a better-quality exterior image but by an interior one. Finally the article is large enough to be able to accommodate both images, exterior and interior. There is no reason to eliminate a perfectly fine and informative image of the exterior of the Library. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 02:22, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Library in Star Trek
[edit]Here is an article from earlier in the year talking about the use of the library to film an episode of Star Trek. Apparently a very rare occurrence to allow filming. I know “pop culture” sections are not seen as offering a lot of value, it given the rarity of the permission to film, I figure it likely could be added. https://trekmovie.com/2024/05/17/inside-how-star-trek-discovery-transformed-a-toronto-university-library-into-the-eternal-archive-for-labyrinths/ Jordan 1972 (talk) 20:33, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
