- Hi Richard (if I may call you that), his full name is given here: [1] and also here: [2]. There is also a photograph of a sign put up at family home, Shardeloes, with his initials on it (see [3] on [4]). The article itself explains why he chose to change his name, based on the information in the History or Parliament and also Burke's 1837 edition of A Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Landed Gentry (vol.
