St. Mary Kilkenny

[edit]

@Aatomic1:@Chrisdoyleorwell:@Lord Cornwallis:@Fergananim: The article claims (4th paragraph) that "On 6 December 1646 he [the 4th Viscount] was received back into the Roman Catholic Church by Nuncio Rinnuccini at St. Mary's Cathedral, Kilkenny." This sentence was added by user Aatomic1 on 18 April 2007. The linked article about St Mary's Cathedral, Kilkenny states that St Mary's Cathedral was built 1843–1857, so I suppose the ceremony must have been held in another church building in that same town, probably St Canice's Cathedral. I am trying to obtain consensus before editing. Please help. With many thanks Johannes Schade (talk) 09:43, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I found out that the church where the 4th Viscount converted back to the Church of Rome was not the Cathedral St. Mary, but the old church St. Mary in the centre of Kilkenny, now the Medieval Mile Museum. I will change the text in accordance. Sorry to have bothered you all for nothing. Johannes Schade (talk) 08:54, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
