There seems to be a confusion of Thomas Chaloners. The naturalist Thomas who prospected for Alum was a cousin of Thomas Chaloner the courtier and governor of the household of Prince Henry. See Simon Healy in History of Parliament online, 2010. I now therefore propose to paste the whole of the present article, suitably amended, into a new article 'Thomas Chaloner (courtier)', but to keep the present article title for a stub relating to the naturalist. Any assistance in tidying up redirects and links will be appreciated! Eebahgum (talk) 09:57, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
