No context to person, "Lars"

Person, "Lars," is mentioned 4 times under section "Background and release", starting in 1st paragraph: "... Lars recalled that there was some 'early hesitation' ..."

Who is Lars? Is this an abbreviation for previously mentioned "Landers?"
